How do I cleanse and charge my crystals?

Cleansing and charging crystals is an important practice to maintain their energy and effectiveness. Here are some common methods, along with types of crystals that may not be suitable for certain cleansing techniques:

Sunlight and Moonlight: Place your crystals in direct sunlight or moonlight for several hours or overnight to cleanse and charge them. This method is safe for most crystals, but some may fade or become brittle if exposed to sunlight for extended periods. Avoid using this method for crystals that are sensitive to light, such as Amethyst, Celestite, Fluorite, and Kunzite.

Water: Rinse your crystals under running water (preferably natural sources like a stream or river) or submerge them in a bowl of water mixed with sea salt. This method is safe for most crystals, but avoid using it for water-soluble or porous crystals like Selenite, Halite, and Lepidolite, as they can dissolve or deteriorate.

Smudging: Pass your crystals through the smoke of sacred herbs like sage, palo santo, or cedar. This method is suitable for most crystals but may not be effective for deeply cleansing stones like Hematite, Pyrite, and Obsidian.

Sound: Use sound vibrations from singing bowls, bells, or tuning forks to cleanse and recharge your crystals. This method is safe for all crystals.

Earth: Bury your crystals in the earth (preferably in a garden or pot with soil) for a few days to cleanse and ground them. This method is generally safe for most crystals, but avoid using it for water-sensitive or fragile stones like Selenite and Halite.

Remember to intuitively choose the cleansing method that feels right for your crystals and always research specific care instructions for each type of crystal to avoid damaging them.
